Subject: In Christ Jesus
Subject: In Christ Jesus
Excellent study of the most mysterious and lofty position of man.
A person is either 'in Christ' or 'outside Christ' - and this means he/she is either alive or dead.
Up and until Paul there was no such a concept of being 'in someone else' except in the limited physical sense.
Christ, being God, changed this in order to demonstrate the spiritual necessity of being fully and permanently one with those He has chosen - and this concept/idea was put into writing by Paul as the Greek - and for that matter any other language - lacked it, hence a new term was created, language, being dynamic, was molded in order to convey a theosophical cornerstone.
The book calls for an in depth knowledge of the main languages used, German, Greek and to a lesser extent Latin - I lack profoundly in this knowledge yet was able to catch the main arguments, and so would you.
It is a pity and great loss to academia and especially Christianity that this work has not been translated into English..
